Spark
We identify a learning need, consult with experts, and refine initial concepts until a clear educational direction emerges.
We develop multilingual learning resources designed to work across languages, countries, and real educational contexts. We believe that every idea, in every language, deserves a clear path to learners everywhere.
We use learning science and technology to make education accessible, inclusive, and multilingual.
A world where anyone, in any language, has access to open, culturally aware learning resources that support critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Our work began in 2002 with the development of a language learning website. What started as a small project gradually grew in scope and led to a range of educational initiatives, formalised in 2014 with the founding of Studio GAUS GmbH. We are still driven by the conviction that education works best when it reaches beyond the classroom.
We do not work for clients. We work with partners and co-creators who want to build meaningful educational resources together.
How we turn our ideas into sustainable, open learning resources
We identify a learning need, consult with experts, and refine initial concepts until a clear educational direction emerges.
We define a clear framework covering objectives, structure, timelines, and funding requirements, including grant applications where appropriate.
This is where content, curricula, and digital learning environments take shape through close collaboration, as different perspectives come together along the way.
Early versions are shared with learners and educators, and their feedback is used to refine both content and structure.
This is the moment things go live. The platform is released for use, first users arrive, and we closely follow early feedback to see how it works in practice.
We continue to develop projects after launch by adding languages, improving content, and adapting features based on real use.
Our work draws on a global network of educators, designers, developers, and researchers. We continue to develop and maintain projects well beyond their initial release, ensuring that they remain relevant, usable, and effective in real educational contexts.
We work with universities, NGOs, schools, and EdTech organisations to develop open-access learning platforms. Depending on the project, we contribute as partner or take on coordination roles, and remain involved through to long-term use.
Do you have an educational idea or a funding proposal? Are you looking for a reliable partner or lead coordinator?
Let’s work together.
